The game has single-player/multi-player/online player capabilities and has a CERO: A / ESRB: E / OFLC: G / PEGI: 3+ / USK: Unrestricted rating. The main objective of Animal Crossing: Wild World is to pay the mortgage of the player’s house to Tom Nook, a shop owner. The player can engage in a variety of tasks, such as interacting with villagers, planting flowers and collecting items such as furniture, clothes and fish. All of the player’s characters share the same house and work together to pay off the mortgage, instead of each having their own house.
In Animal Crossing: Wild World, the touchscreen is used for menu navigation and interacting with the surrounding area, including movement, using tools, talking to other villagers, entering buildings and picking up items. The dual screens are used to display the town environment on the touch screen and the sky on the top screen simultaneously. Players and up to three friends can play in the same village and interact in real time - either through wireless LAN or over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Animal Crossing: Wild World is played in real-time. The environment changes based on the time of day and the season. The game also has its own yearly holidays and other events. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, it does not include some real-world holidays such as Christmas or Halloween. However, it does have a New Year’s countdown from December 31 until the new year. This game also features three-dimensional 3D space. Players can visit other players’ towns by exchanging "friend codes" and connecting with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

The strength lies in letting you discover new things every day, so you just keep playing. Who thinks this game is kiddie, only sees the superficial and not the ingenious part! Read more
A nimal Crossing is as cute as a pink cupcake topped with rainbow sprinkles and an edible Hello Kitty caricature, though thankfully lasts infinitely longer. The introduction is bright and interactive, in the form of a taxi ride given by a character named Kapp’n. You will be offered simple multiple choice queries which will shape, amongst other things, your character’s gender and appearance. Most of the controls are simple to grasp, though some occasional clumsiness... Read more
In closing, if you’ve played Animal Crossing for the GameCube and are looking for a new experience, it’s not here. Animal Crossing: Wild World takes everything the original did and makes it a little bit better but offers nothing new. Fans of the first game will still love it. It has just enough additional content to keep them busy for months. And that addictive quality that made you turn on the game everyday, even for five minutes, is still here. Read more
Avid fans of the GameCube's original Animal Crossing may want to invest in a Nintendo DS this December. Animal Crossing: Wild World will be making its debut on the handheld just in time to make it onto your greedy little Christmas list. Read more
WHAT SCORE TO GIVE IT: If your web site, blog or magazine scores games out of 5 give it 5/5. If you score things out of 10 give it 10/10. If you use the archaic percentage system give it 97 percent because anything more than that makes you look stupid like those American magazines who give games 100 percent. Nothing’s ever 100 percent you pricks. Read more

I guess I will be the voice of reason on this game. I have a feeling all the previous reviews have been from people who haven't played this game for all that long. I have played Animal Crossing Wild World for almost a year now, and it has its clear advantages and disadvantages. This game has really good graphics, one of the best I have seen on the Nintendo DS, right up there with Mario Kart. The colors are crisp and fun. They are also very bright. It being a cartoonish... This game is great! There's always something to do. Always something new. BUT! It's not as great as they put it out to be. I give it **** (4 stars). But either way, it's a great game, for the mere reason that it can last a lifetime. Don't you just HATE the kind of games you can beat in a month and be done with? Read more
