Summary: If you, like many people, were disappointed by Colonial Marines, try this game out. This game captures the essence of being a Colonial Marine, in the Aliens universe, much better than the actual Colonial Marines game. All the Marines you meet up with have their own personalities, and backstories.
If you like Aliens get it now, good 2d shooter similar to Alien 3

Summary: Does anyone remember an SNES game called Alien 3? It was non-canon because it took place on the prison planet in Alien 3 but used the taped-together gun from Aliens and had tons of the critters around when the movie Alien 3 only had a single Xeno.
Summary: It's like Metroid but with a "team". When I say team, I mean "lives" and when I mean lives, I mean you have up to four team members at any time, each look vaguely different from the other, but they don't really serve any unique purpose, so they function more like lives.
Summary: I really like this game, it is a very refreshing metroidvania style game. I think that it could use some work though. First there is barely any reason for exploration. Second there are interchangeable weapons in the game, but they are either overpowered or extremely weak.
Summary: Plays well on the 3ds. In my opinion, its much better short-and-sweet version of Alien 3 for the SNES. Not very difficult. Yes, when characters die, its permanent. But there are plenty of other soldiers in the field to take their place.
Summary: Fantastic little game! I love 'metroidvania' types of games AND I love the Aliens franchise. This combines them both into a great 2d throwback, while still throwing in some twists like a 5 man fire team that you can switch between, permadeath & get this..
Summary: If you want to play an interesting alternate story about the Sulaco and Sephora, play this game instead. It was also made by Gearbox, and they obviously penned this before Colonial Marines because the Sephora is in this game as well. It's a decent 2D shooter with plenty of action and fun.
