Summary: This game is my childhood. I literally could play this for days and I do. I love everything about this game. The sound is not annoying, and the strategy is amazing. I don't know how it compares to the PC version, but I still love it.
Summary: I play the Age of Empires game for the computer, which is a fun free for all with battle everywhere. The DS version however, is a turn based game that seams like a copy of Sid Meyer's Civilazation III, slightly tweaked.
Summary: This game was made 8 years ago and it's still better than most current gen games. Strategy, RTS or tactical/turn based is a genre that is neglected. Don't be fooled by the low score. This game has a bug that can run the cartridge if you save and quit. So, i just don't use that feature.

Summary: ...or the whole game freezes up and cannot be used. We found this out the hard way, actually had to go online and read about this after my son had theis happen with 2 other cartridges of this exact game. Pity, too, because he LOVED this game when he played it.
Summary: While this game is really good, ships about average, maybe 9 or 10 days to my home, and arrives in excelent condition, this game is a bug fest. I have owned around 8 copies of this game over the years and they all wound up being unplayable due to bug glitches.
Summary: It's hard to find good real-time strategy games for Nintendo DS given the limited amount of capabilities of this small unit (compared to PC's and console games), but Age of Empires pulls it off! For those who love a good RTS experience and want a "lite" and mobile experience, this is for you!
