Summary: I recieved Again the other week and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Cing, imo, excels at making adventure games. Another Code, Hotel Dusk and this are all must buys for the DS. I'd say I probably do enjoy Hotel Dusk and Another Code a bit more. I think the drawn characters look better than real people but Again is still a great detective story. You'd do well to pick up all three but if you can't do that, this is a good introduction into Cing's work.
Summary: A more low key affair following on the heels of their 2 Nintendo published titles Another Code (Trace Memory) & Hotel Dusk, Cing's Again traces similar ground, yet isn't afraid to experiment a bit. Again replaces the distinctive hand drawn stlyings of Hotel Dusk and it's grounded gumshoe tale for live actors and supernatural sleuthing.
Summary: To be honest, I had trouble getting past the use of live action actors after the glorious character designs in Hotel Dusk. It just doesn't look good on the DS screen. The story was kind of interesting, but the mechanics of comparing scenes from the present and past were clunky and often left me scratching my head on what to do next. I recommend you at least watch a gameplay video before taking the plunge.
Summary: Considering the relative power of the DS Cing have turned out an enjoyable Psychic Detective romp. Great for passing a few hours on a long journey or to come back to when you fancy a bit of alternative sleuthing. Worth a buy.
