A mystery adventure game for adults on DS.

PantsuPanic, Amazon
24 December 2013
  • Summary: If you're into DS adventure games, Again is worth a look. After all, it's a CiNG game, the same studio who were behind such DS treasures as Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory (AKA Another Code). However, don't get your hopes too high as Again's budget was fair constrained in comparison to CiNG's other works. Despite the low key production though, Again pulls off strong atmosphere thanks to a consistent noir motif and a moody OST.

It's an interactive mystery novel; no more, no less

  • Summary: Okay, not sure I quite understand why this game is getting dumped on so hard. Sure, it's no Hotel Dusk or Trace Memory, but it doesn't appear that that is even its goal. I'm an avid reader, I love murder mysteries, and I love games and puzzles. This game contains all of that. There is not as much action as one would hope, not as much gameplay as one would hope, but an affinity for reading makes up for that.

If you like Trace Memory/Hotel Dusk you will like this as well

Fred Burroughs "Ladies and gentlemen, Fred Bu..., Amazon

  • Summary: Boy this game really gets dumped on, rather unfairly I think. It's not *quite* as good as Trace Memory or Hotel Dusk but it's still good. Interesting story, interesting puzzles, interesting conversations, interesting characters. I love the flashback sequences and how the story twists are revealed. It seems to be very vaguely inspired by Twin Peaks, in that it involves an all-American FBI agent investigating a murder using paranormal abilities.

Needs improving

  • Summary: I am not done with this game, but some of the things to do in it are done kind of weird and have to be done with precision for a seek and find mystery game.

  • Summary: I recieved Again the other week and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Cing, imo, excels at making adventure games. Another Code, Hotel Dusk and this are all must buys for the DS. I'd say I probably do enjoy Hotel Dusk and Another Code a bit more. I think the drawn characters look better than real people but Again is still a great detective story. You'd do well to pick up all three but if you can't do that, this is a good introduction into Cing's work.

  • Summary: Slightly better than Hotel Dusk Room 215, but not quite as good as Last Window. If you enjoyed some of the other games by Cing, you'll most likely enjoy this as well.

Another Game From Cing, the Developers Who Made Hotel Dusk...

Feelah the tigress, Amazon
3 January 2012
  • Summary: I have played a number of point and click adventure games (or "graphic novels" as some prefer to call them), many of them detective/investigation themed in style (ex. Hotel Dusk, Jake Hunter, Ace Attorney series, Touch Detective, etc.), so when I saw "Again" for sale, I was instantly intrigued.

An Amazing Story and Game Experience on the DS

Michael A. Kelly "Mikekelly", Amazon
27 December 2011
  • Summary: If you want a really good adventure game for your DS, "Again" should be on your shopping list. Again is an excellent adventure game, just as good as "Hotel Dusk" - and like Hotel Dusk, its the story that draws you in - and keeps you interested until the end. The graphics are very well done, amazingly so for a Nintendo DS game. The gameplay is easy yet varied and the puzzles while interesting won't stop you from finishing the game.

Let's do the time warp...well, you know.

racapowski, Amazon
8 October 2011
  • Summary: 19 years ago, the delightfully-named town of Clockford, Pennsylvania was set upon by a serial killer. No, not Scissorman - a maniac named Providence, whose victims shared no apparent connection, no demographic, not even modus operandi; nothing, save for the murderer's calling card - an Eye of Providence torn from the back of a dollar bill and left at every crime scene.
