Excerpt: When I was at school, a kid had what I thought at the time was the most amazing game cartridge of all time. It was for the original Game Boy if I remember correctly, and it included over a hundred games. Not knowing any better back then, everyone wanted one of these amazing cartridges, but the boy didn't know where he got it from and the local shops weren't stocking this now quite obviously dodgy cart.
Excerpt: 42 All-Time Classics (Or the USA title of Clubhouse games) is a bit of a lie really because not all 42 games are in fact classics. Most yes but not all of them. Although I guess they couldn’t really call it 36 All-time Classics and a couple of other ones so I’ll forgive their inaccurate title. This particular collection houses some of the best card and board games of all time and it managed to recreate most in a faithful manor. But is it worth the £20 ($35) budget price?
Conclusion: Cynics would probably argue that you can download most of the stuff present on 42 All-Time Classics for the princely sum of almost nowt on a PC, but that's kind of missing the point. The entire package is about casual, portable pick-up-and-playability when you've got some time to kill. That being the case, the variety on offer here is simply staggering.
