Summary: For the first couple of years the thing is very nice, however, be warned. This thing will begin to fail. We are having our first experience with the heat element failure issue that is sooo common with this unit. We now have several loads of wet clothes that we are trying to get dry. For over $1k, I would expect better. I had cheap dryers that lasted far, far longer without issue. This is definitely NOT worth the money.
Summary: The drum for no reason (no heavy loads or weird things put in it) came apart. I have read this has happened to others with this dryer but Samsung refuses to fix this faulty product. Also, every blanket or towel I put in wraps around itself and does not dry. Immediately, within seconds of being in the dryer. I have tried tennis balls (have drum already separated) to try and keep them apart but it did not work. Also, the buttons stick.
Summary: This dryer has been nothing but a total and complete hassle and waste of our money. The dryer spins all of our sheets into a super tight little ball/roll and then shuts off. Obviously, the entire middle of the roll is still wet, and we have to pull everything out, pull it apart, and then rearrange it when we put it back in the machine. We have to do this 8-10 times per load. I have called Samsung's customer service department a number of times.
Summary: Recently purchased returned (floor model) top of the line Samsung washer/dryer combo.. new condition, full warranty, etc from Lowe's. Purchased extended warranty program as well. Dryer came w/o owners manual. Filled out necessary forms and provided proof of purchase to Samsung. Received a call today that they will not provide owners manual, but we can purchase one from parts vendor for $19.95. They also informed me that I can download one online. Incredible.
Summary: Why do people feel that they should rate purchases only when they are not pleased with decision that they made to purchase the item? This provides an inaccurate rating of many items. So I always try to rate most of the larger ticket items purchased whether good or bad. I recently retired my 17+ year Whirlpool Thin-Twin, which was a great purchase in the day and out lasted our expectations by years, purchasing new Samsung laundry units.
Summary: Good dryer. I esp. like the steam feature. I use this setting with Woolite dry cleaning cloths for my dry clean only cloths. The steam helps the dry cleaning cloth penetrate into fabric and remove odors. Saving me lots of money by reducing my dry cleaning. Now I can dry clean at home every other time. The auto sensor works well.
Summary: We purchased this unit within the last year hoping its large capacity would help to clear up the log jam in our laundry room and for a while it did just that. Lately the thing stopped working and we discovered a series of nasty surpises: A fried electornic control board, a broken drive belt, one of the four rollars that supports the drum having separated from its bearing and gone walkabout, and a torn drum seal. All this after a bit more than 6 months' family use.
Summary: I do not regret making this purchase. the dryer has lots of different options to ensure you don't shrink your clothes. The best part about this dryer is the "refresh" and "wrinkle care" option. if you leave your clothes in the dryer overnight you can hit one of those two options and good as new.
Summary: I, too, am experiencing the lint trap problem. All of my clothes come out of the dryer covered in large clumps of lint, and when I try to remove the lint trap to clean it, the lint falls into the trap compartment. I've taken the advice of one of the previous reviewers and looked into getting the lint trap for model DV330AEB. On Samsungparts.com, I searched for the lint trap for model DV330AEB and part DC61-01521A was returned as the search result.
