  • Summary: I have had 2 service items over the years. I have replaced the heating coil (connection broken) and the felt gasket of the drum. This dryer is very simple & easy to repair by yourself. Maytag's parts availability and pricing was a pleasant surprise..
  • Pros: Nothing comes to mind
  • Cons: Nothing comes to mind

  • Summary: This is my second Maytag dishwasher. We recently moved into an existing home and chose to replaced the working dishwasher (Frigidair) with the Maytag because it wasn't getting the dishes clean.
  • Pros: The top drawer doesn't slide smoothly. Purchased the display model, maybe it was slightly damaged.
  • Cons: The top drawer doesn''t slide smoothly. Purchased the display model, maybe it was slightly damaged.

Dishwasher Review Maytag

Consumer Democracy

  • Summary: I got my Maytag at Sears after having trouble with the kenmore dishwasher I had bought. Sears took the Kenmore back without question and sold me the Maytag. The maytag is so much easier to load compared to other dishwashers I have had in the past.
  • Pros: dishes come out clean, easy to load, can load tall glasses, don't need to rinse dishes
  • Cons: if you use too much detergent, can cause dishwasher to turn off

  • Summary: I LOVE my Maytag washer and dryer! They are full-size and stack so I have lots of counterspace in my laundry room. I will never have a separate washer and dryer again. There's no bending or stooping, it's just so easy to work with. I've had my Maytag for 8 years and never had it serviced.
  • Pros: Someday I'll have to replace it and I hope Maytag's dryers are still as good!
  • Cons: Someday I''ll have to replace it and I hope Maytag''s dryers are still as good!

  • Pros: Icemaker broke.

  • Summary: This is my first Maytag product. However, with three males currently living in my house - all very avtive, we produce a LOT of dirty laundry - especially in the summer. So, I wanted a heavy duty, large capacity, reliable washing machine. So far, my Maytag has met or surpassed all my expectations.
  • Pros: reliable and problem free
  • Cons: no complaints yet

  • Summary: This is a very versatile dishwasher. However, the utensil basket is fully covered. Getting small items in & out is harder. Or if you have something too cumbersome, you have to remove the entire lid & the small items are no longer protected. All three racks are bi-level.
  • Pros: the racks being bi-level. The utensil basket is entirely covered, rather than half.
  • Cons: the racks being bi-level. The utensil basket is entirely covered, rather than half.
