You wanted dry clothes fast....look somewhere else...
23 December 2013
Excerpt: This dryer came with my apartment, and it's horrible! You can load it up with a standard size load and it will sometimes take 2 hours to dry! I have never used a gas dryer before, but was warned that it might dry clothes fast and to watch out!..
Summary: OK we actually purchased this dryver from Home Depot back in March 2012, and just recently the on/off switch is broken and need to be repaired. Other than that I think the machine works OK. I believe HotPoint is the most "basic" and economic brand from GE. With such bad track record I don't think we will ever purchase another HotPoint appliances again.
Excerpt: Most of the dryers are now 28.3/4" in depth up from 25.5". This adds another cubic ft. from 6' to 7' to the drum but also another 3' to the back of the unit. Many washer/dryer closets in condominiums and apartments are not deep enough for the extra 3' in depth and will not fit. So take your measurements before your purchase.
Pros: 25' Depth So It Fits, Adjustable Temperature, Easy To Use, Energy Efficient, Quiet, Works Quickly
Excerpt: The dryer is used on a daily basis. I have another dryer in another house. It gets very hot and drys quickly. This dryer takes far too long to dry a small load. You can put your hand in the dryer after 60 minutes and it is barely warm.
Summary: The price was good on this dryer. Its compact space wise but has a large drying bin. Easy to remove lint from as it is in the front. I really like this dryer except no buzz when clothes are dry. I miss that.
