Summary: I initially liked this washer and drier at first though ofcourse it does take FOREVER to use. However my drier worked only a few months. My husband took it all apart and cleaned it and it worked somewhat after that. Then it began making a horrible grinding noise and will not dry at all now. Had it less than a year-cannot recommend.
Summary: Many complain about long drying time and lack of heat with this Haier Dryer. After studying the design a bit and tinkering with it's workings, I found the answer, and it relates to the bad design of the dryer: poor placement of the heater element. And now for the explanation: The Physics: This dryer has a PTC heater element, which means that there is no thermostat in the dryer - the element itself regulates the heat output based on it's own internal temperature.
Does what it's supposed to, but with a lot of noise and no customer support

Summary: This dryer will dry a small load quite well, and the size is perfect if your laundry center is in your kitchen, like mine. But after 2-3 months of use, this thing started making annoying rattling noises. It sounds like something is stuck in there, so I literally took the whole thing apart, cleaned it out, and it still rattles like crazy. Customer support is NO HELP. They refuse to replace it under warranty, so I'll have to live with it for now.
Summary: I ordered this on a Friday and it arrived today - the following Tuesday - excellent! I set the dryer up asap and turned it on to test, but instead of the whisper quiet I've been reading about, my dryer sounds like it's got a load of gravel spinning somewhere within the inaccessible back panel. I could find nothing in the manual or on any website to help diagnose the problem.
