Excerpt: Tthe dryer itself worked fine. Not any better, however, than the much lower-priced dryer I replaced. Within the first 16 months the dryer stopped working. I had purchased an extended warranty through the store I bought the dryer from, a locally-owned business. That was my first mistake. Purchase the extended warranty through Electrolux. The local company could not send a tech for two weeks.
Excerpt: This item has been somewhat of a disappointment. I have owned it less than a year and have already had to have it serviced twice. It rarely dries my clothes on the first cycle. I almost always have to run another cycle to get them completely dry. Also, because of the design and shape of the drum you cannot use a fabric softener bar in it. There isn't a uninterrupted flat space long enough to accommodate it.
Excerpt: The dryer I bought now works great once you figure out the flaws. First lets start from the beginning. The dryer came in defective. The service people fixed my machine to tip top shape. But this took a while because they carry no parts in stock. Everything had to be ordered. This took a while because two things were bad . He fixed one thing to find out something else was no good also. Now the flaw with this machine is no drying of sneakers or floor mats.
Excerpt: On the plus side, I like the feature and controls. One complaint is that the maximum temp is not very hot compare to my old dryer. (Yes the exhaust pipes have been cleaned). It takes a long time to dry towels and heavier items. Also the door latch broke after 3 months. It was repaired for free under warranty, but it makes me question quality now that the warranty has expired.
Excerpt: This is one great dryer! We have had front load washers and dryers for over forty years but this one is by far the best. With its huge drum and special features like steam, options for drying, etc. it has been a real pleasure to work with.
Excerpt: We have the washer and dryer in a closet by the kitchen. The noise when both are running is not a problem. We had one service call after the mrs pushed a sock into the lint filter area. Definitely operator error. The only problem I have with it is that the door keeps popping open. This maybe a problem with most front loaders doors. A stronger manual outside latch would be a good idea.
