R. C. Barnes, Amazon

  • Summary: This is my first hammer drill and the build quality and feel of the drill leads me to believe it will be the only hammer drill I ever have to buy. I have several Makita tools from cordless drills and sanders and this drill comes through again.

  • Summary: I bought the Makita HP2010N back in 1990 and still have and use it today. It has been used extensively in hammer-mode with a 3-5/8" hole saw to cut holes for ceiling pan boxes in oak beams and for overhead drilling on post and beam construction.
