Summary: Gosh, I must have had this thing for years now - was poking through the review requests. For when a battery piece won't do, this has been an excellent addition to the shop. Bulletproof, has never failed through all sorts of abuse (like sideways pressure for grinding).
Summary: I have been using this or the earlier versions of this drill in my cabinet shop for more than 20 years. I has very good balance, fits my hand well, transferring the driving weight directly down the shaft enabling me to drive 3 inch screws to pull very heavy cabinets up against the wall.
Summary: If you use this for what it's designed for. 5 stars all day. This is a drill, not a Driver. It gets a little tough to use Driving Screws into tight pilot holes, because its got too much power and no clutch so you can't dial it back much.
Summary: This Makita is the best variable speed drill my husband has ever owned. I bought it for him on eBay because you can no longer find this model in retail stores. He used one in the past on a car restoration project and just loved it!
