This is a great value. Most bang for the buck out there!
Ed13, Hitachi Power Tools

Summary: I bought this tool on clearance at Menards. I already own the impact gun, drill, and saw-zall. This would have been a great deal for just the high capacity batteries and new charger but the value goes well beyond there.
Summary: I had a previous Hitachi Li-ion drill and it worked well for years. The handle cracked and I had to get a new cordless drill. The packaging for the new drill had what looked like the same Li-ion battery which is one of the reasons I bought it so I could use the older Hitachi drills still good power packs. Unfortunately the new drill used a different design battery so I could no longer use the still good older battery packs.
Summary: Only used on my ice auger to drill 6 inch holes thru 20+ inches of ice. Works well and battery lasts longer than some drills at twice the cost. I am sure it will serve it's intended purpose just as well.
Summary: I bought this tool to start a push-mower. Worked fine for four months but won't turn it over now -even after buying new battery. Worked great on disaster response projects, installed tin on 2000 sq ft bldg., built , and 300 sq ft deck. Charger fan is very noisy.
Summary: So far product has worked to my satisfaction. I replaced an older DeWalt hammer drill. Only negative is that there is no warning whatsoever when the battery dies. Charge time is quick though and the spare battery eliminates lengthly down time.
Excellent but charger gives it overall mediocre appeal

Summary: Well balanced and plenty of power. It is excellent for drilling in light concrete and bricks. LED colour is dark yellow so no much help out of it. I wonder howmuch white LED would cost ... a penny more? Charger is unreasonably huge, I mean outrageously bulky. I opened it to adjust it for European 230V since out of the box it doesn't handle 230V. I don't see any intelligent microchip inside or oversized ferrites to justify that bulkiness ... so much empty space inside.
Summary: This unit was one of the few that offered full size Lithium Ion batteries for a reasonable price and it delivers on nearly all fronts. You can't touch this unit in terms of price in any of the other pro models; even the Sears consumer units cost a lot more and deliver much less in terms of build and performance.
