Summary: I've actually purchased two of these drills before. My first drill I got for a family member for Christmas and pre-wrapping it I used it to quickly fix up a coffee table leg that was driving me crazy. I actually liked it so much, as did my family member, I ordered another one for my own use.
Summary: This is the right drill for home use and for light manufacturing, aircraft (aluminum) work/repair, etc. It is very powerful for its size and weight and there are several features that I found to be superior to other 12v drills. Lithium Ion battery too.
Summary: I own the whiz-bang DeWalt 20v Max XR drill (DCD790), but this Hitachi is the one I reach for 95% of the time. Very quiet, smooth-sounding, and very lightweight. Batteries are small and light, recharge quickly, and hold their charge plenty long enough.
Summary: The Hitachi DS10DFL is an ideal tool for light-duty, routine hole drilling or screw driving. At 12 Volts and two speeds, the drill possesses enough power for all but the toughest household jobs.
Summary: These come up as a sale once in a while and I just wish I had bought more. They are a great deal no matter what you pay. They actually included more than they show in the picture. These are awesome little drills and we already have several here.
Summary: For the price, I felt this was as good as if not better than both Dewalt and Milwaukee. I have used it and stored it in sea environments and it still ticks. Had it for some time now. Best drill I own and others I have referred to it have surprisingly said the same. ig
