Didn't work out of the box--made in Mexico

Bear Flag, Amazon
7 July 2014
  • Summary: This drill works only very intermittently. Randomly a trigger pull will set it spinning, but mostly no response. The drill is made in Mexico... the articles I read about labor costs rising in China must be true.

Best big job drill!

kerry yoneshige, Amazon
19 September 2013
  • Summary: Great drill for the heavy duty jobs like screwing into 2x4s etc. Extremely well made and like the high torque motor. Little more effort with keyed chuck but for the tougher jobs like the grip strength of the keyed chuck

The strong silent type

Karl S. Aromaa, Amazon
19 January 2012
  • Summary: I bought this 3/8 inch drill to replace my favorite Hitachi that finally gave up after 20 years. I expect that this Dewalt should last as long. By the way, it is a VSR drill even though that designation is not always evident in the advertising.
