Summary: Works as described. Bought to replace one that was stolen out of tool bag at work site. Do not have other similar products to compare. I never give a perfect score to anything. That is why only 4 outta 5 stars. I hope this is enough characters for EBAY.
Summary: I have nearly quit using drills to drive anything. Oh, I still use them for drilling holes, but for nearly everything else, I use this. I haven't used this one much. My Makita, Ridgid, and Milwaukee all clamor for attention. This is at least as good as they are. It is probably better than the Milwaukee simply because the Milwaukee is a 12V.
Summary: It great having this cordless impact drill, to work around the house or in my garage on different handyman projects. I used with my dewalt cordless drill, now I don't have to take out drill bits from my cordless drill anymore & replace different chucks. I can continue working on a project. The light underneath the chuck comes in handy to see hard to see drill holes.
Summary: I had used one of these impact drivers while helping a friend build a deck on his house. I was getting ready to do a remodel project in our house and knew this would be of tremendous help. I was pleased to find in on Amazon at a great price. It was advertised as a bare tool but when it came it included a case.
Summary: I have other 18V DeWalt tools and this is a welcome addition to them. I've had the same DeWalt drills for years. They have proven themselves dependable in the workplace. I like the fact that this impact drill is compatible with both NiMH and NiCad batteries, as all my other tools use only NiCad and I have plenty of spares.
Summary: I bought this to go with my Dewalt 18 volt cordless drill. Since they both use the same battery I did not have to pay extra for more batteries. It has a chuck that can only take one type of driver, so I bought a set of drivers that fit this chuck and have 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" square drivers for various sockets. It will not replace my pneumatic impact driver for lug bolts, but for portable applications driving 3" deck screws in, it can't be beat.
Summary: During my 35 years as a cop I worked construction as my moonlighting job. When I retired earlier this year I went full time with the crew so it was time to add some power tools to my kit rather than rely on the communal set. If starting fresh there is no doubt that I would have gone with Ryobi One tools as they guarantee to maintain battery compatibility in future tools unlike all the others who use the time your tools wear out as a "gotcha" and you also have to buy all...
Great impact driver (for screws), not an impact wrench (for auto lug nuts)
Just a guy, Amazon
3 December 2013
Summary: Great driver, but not an impact wrench. This is a great impact driver. It has a nice little light on the front so you can see what you are doing and it comes with a phillips head that snaps onto the base. It is NOT an impact wrench. It will not remove lug bolts from your car. Expect it to tighten to around 60 Lb-ft of torque.
