Excerpt: This compact drill delivers lots of power and working time for 9.6 volts. The 2 speed transmission and multiple clutch settings makes this a great tool for the homeowner. I use it for all my light to medium drilling and driving jobs around the house. This drill is definately a big cut above any 12 volt Ryobi, Skill or Black and Decker drill.

Excerpt: I've had mine for a couple years now and still love it. It's only a 9.6 volt which makes it a lot lighter than most others. The batteries do run out rather quickly in continuous use but if that's what you need then get a bigger one, it's not made for production use. For around the house and minor shop use, it's great.
Summary: I wanted a CORDLESS drill which had two batteries and which would shut off immediately when I took my finger off the power switch. This drill does exactly those things for me and is functioning beautifully.
Summary: when first received the battery was defective and an adjustment was fairly made. The drill a cordless DeWalt has been used on my home projects. It is lightweight and smaller than some and can be used in tighter spaces..I rate it excellent. It can be used continuously for extended periods without recharging.
Summary: I have owned a Dewalt 9.6 volt drill since they came out. Recently the batteries became weak and it was cheaper to buy this drill on ebay. It was a good deal and now I have two chargers to keep the batteries charged and can now work the drills for a long period of time. I really like the Dewalt products and have several others in my shop.
