    As I write this review, I am in the middle of watching the World Wrestling Federation's Summerslam pay-per-view. In typical WWF fashion, the production is top-notch, with nary a hitch. Their rival, World Championship Wrestling (WCW) has taken a major fall from grace, and their last pay-per-view, New Blood Rising, is a perfect example. Read more

    WWF Royal Rumble is an underachiever, plain and simple. If there were ever a game that I thought would be a guarantee lock for ratings gold, it would have been this one. But like Dale, I was totally shocked at how the developers excluded so many standard home features and still thought they would have a serious market contender. It's even more of a travesty when you consider they could have simply ported over WWF Smackdown! Read more

    • Recognisable wrestlers, Real signature moves and attacks, Nine wrestlers on-screen, Four-player mode
    • A little limited in single-player mode, Only two secret characters, Doesn't make the most of the WWF licence

    • The graphics are sweet, interference is cool, 9 wrestlers in the same ring!
    • Everything else sucks.

    I'm not noramlly one for gratuitous violence and there is no way you can call an oiled up testosterone filled idiot in a pair of trunks sexy, but something about this games really gets my adrenaline going. For those of you who are unaware, WWF actually stands for World Wrestling Federation (although this may soon change due to a law suit!) and is an entertainment company that produces wrestling matches for our 'enjoyment'.
