Excerpt: This is one of the best sports games on the dreamcast. There are several forms of play: Career mode: Race around the levels doing tasks to earn video tapes. The more video tapes you get the more levels you get. 2 player: Graffiti: Do tricks on or off of objects and that object will be turned your colour. For the other player to turn it their colour they must beat your score on that object Trick Attack: The person at the end of the two minutes with the most points wins.
Pros: Great fun,two player mode and a great soundtrack
Cons: Its more orless a straight conversion from the playstsation
Excerpt: tHIS GAME IS FANTASTIC The playability of the game is massive. There is a large sense of addiction to the game, and there is times when you wish that you could keep plying it for longer than your brain can stand. The multiplayer is amazing, and realy invooving. The sheer competitiveness of the multi side of the game, plus the level of enjoyment makes for addictive gameplay.
Pros: Stunning gameplay and addictiveness
Cons: Your fingers may bleed due to the high level of button pressing required to pull of a 10,000 point move
Excerpt: Right, first up – be gentle with me for I have a confession to make. This is my first ever attempt to write a Games review and I’ve had a bit of help from my young nephew, because frankly I am CRAP at playing Dreamcast/Playstation/Nintendo Games. I did get a couple of hundred points at Space Invaders a few years ago (is that really crap or what??) and I was quite good at Pacman – but modern day games are beyond me.
Pros: Great graphics, quite addictive, realistic, Great game,
Excerpt: The best skating experience to be released on console feels right at home on the DC, and more than worth the price of admission. Simplistic mechanics at it's core with a fairly steep learning curve make this title worth more than a second look. Neversoft broke new ground with this game, with plenty of goals that seem impossible at first glance that you'll laugh about an hour later..
Excerpt: I am not excactly a big fan of skateboarding. Neither am I a fan of skateboarding games. But there is something about this game that just keeps pulling be back to play it day after day!. The game features hundered of stunts and loads od playable skaters. You might think " so what! there are loads of boarding games out there that share these features" and you would be right to think so. but what sets this game away from the rest is the addictiveness and great gameplay.
Excerpt: What? ANOTHER Playstation port? Another completely lazy conversion? No. This is a truly amazing game that first appeared on Playstation last year and was named game of the year by many magazines. And now it's our turn. Tony Hawks skateboarding breaks into the world of Dreamcast and really fits in well. the graphics are vastly better than the PS version and all the great gameplay is retained. Easy to play and a joy to master.
Excerpt: All of the professional skaters from the first game have returned, and new skaters like Rodney Mullen, Eric Koston, and Steve Caballero have been added to the roster. Also, you can create your own skater, choosing from different skin and model types. All of the first game's modes are back. You can opt to skate a two-minute single session, freely skate around a level with no time limit, or enter the career mode. The career mode here is much more than the first game's.
Excerpt: Man this game rules the playstation version was good enough with the best skateboarding game ever full of famous names like Bob Burnquist, Chad Muska and the one and only Tony Hawk. This version is better with added 2 player modes and single player modes. The gameplay is challenging starting off easy but getting the tape on the final level will seem impossible to anyone but the most accomplished game you will always come back to this game for more just to beat your...
Excerpt: Just as I thought sports games on the Dreamcast couldn't get any better after seeing NBA2K, along comes this instant classic! Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a fantastic piece of gaming fun which is as original as it is clever. I never really got the hang of skateboards, the only trick I could do was falling off in several different and amusing (to everyone else) ways, but I'm glad to say that this game is far easier to get on with than the real thing.
Excerpt: its brilliant! it has got to be the most addictive game EVER! its has 10 cool characters(and 2 secret ones), it had several very cool courses to skate around which you must earn by collecting tapes in career mode, you get the tapes when you do a certain task,ie, find five letters to spell SKATE throughout a level and you will be rewarded a tape, there are 30 tapes for each character but you dont need them all, there are also 3 competions in career mode which you must...
