Sonic Adventure 2

Sonic Adventure 2 is a platform video game developed and published by Sega. It is the sequel of Sonic Adventure. It was released for Dreamcast on June 5, 2001 in the United States; June 23, 2001 in Japan; and June 23, 2001 in Europe. It enables single player as well as multiplayer modes.

Features

Sonic Adventure 2 game play features both protagonist and antagonist story lines. The protagonist story featuring Sonic, Knuckles, Tails and the non-playable Amy, while the antagonist story featuring Shadow, Rouge, and Dr. Eggman. Each hero character plays similarly to their respective dark character, and vice versa. Players are required to get to the end of the level as the game main objective. Levels with Tails or Dr. Eggman allow the player to control a mechanized robot walker and generally blast their way to the end. Besides that, Knuckles and Rouge are required to scour their levels for shards of the Master Emerald. The main story line can only be finished when both story modes are finished, and an extra story feature is revealed where the player must use all the characters to win. In the Action Stages, the player is required to collect rings and defeat enemies, with a timer counting the time spent within the level. At the end of each stage, the player is given a score based on the number or rings collected and time spent within the level. The more rings and less time, the higher the score is. The player is also given a rank-based performance, a letter grade that is either A, B, C, D, or E, with A being the highest and E being the lowest.
