The songs are really what makes this game so fun. With dance, latin, ska, and pop songs it’s really a blast to crank your bass and yell "Get your ass into Livin’ La Vida Loca!" Take On Me is really a good song to shake maracas to wether you like ska or not, and Tub Thumpin’ seems like a totally different song once it’s slightly sped up. The different difficulty setting don’t change the songs available to you, but they do change the patterns of the flying balls. Read more

I loves me some music games and I've got no problem with fessing up to that fact, although you'd better believe I'll always close the blinds before I lay down the dance pads and embark on a game of DDRMax in my living room. Pa Rappa the Rappa and Um Jammer Lammy ( Lammy in particular) hooked me on the genre, and each installation / revision of the Dance Dance Revolution series has all but confirmed it. Read more

Yes, Samba de Amigo requires $80 maraca peripherals that come in a big yellow box with cartoon characters on it. And yes, it's one of those silly music games that are so huge in Japan. But what do they know? They bought more copies of Seaman than Soul Calibur . And you read online that there are some Ricky Martin songs in the game, and there's no way you're ever buying a game featuring the Latin sensation from Menudo. Read more

What the heck? Maracas in a video game? You better believe it! Samba De Amigo is a dance beat game with a mexican flair for your Sega Dreamcast . Grab the maracas and shake, shake, shake along with Amigo and Linda - the coolest duo since Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera . It may seem bizarre but once you get it going you can bet that everyone's gonna be dancing to the beat. Read more

If you're a music fan or a fan of music games, find this game. If you do, I recommend buying the maracas if you can find them. I had to get mine off of Ebay, but I got them at a reasonable price, even though they are collector's items. And don't let the monkey on the cover frightened you. Read more

Grab your maracas and get ready for one fun game by Sonic Team. Samba De Amigo on Sega Dreamcast is a dance fiesta where everything is moving and bouncing — including you! Keep the beat of the songs with your maracas controller and you will move onto the next stage. Fear not if you have no rhythm, there are little balls that guide you.
