Excerpt: Phantasy Star Online Version 2 is an update on the already eight-month-old release of Phantasy Star Online, with enhancements, bug fixes, and a pay-to-play system being incorporated worldwide, unlike the previous domestic release which was free in the United States. The question going through many minds about this game is simple: what makes PSOV2 worth spending another $40 for the disc, and paying monthly to play it online?
Excerpt: The first Phantasy Star Online had the distinction of being the first online console RPG title, offering gamers a chance at playing together to accomplish the various quests in the game. Version 2 (hereafter abbreviated as PSOv2) takes that game and adds new features to it, such as a new difficulty level (Ultimate), new items, new combat modes, and even a dressing room where players can unload excess money to change their characters' costumes and hairstyles.
Excerpt: (PSO), everyone was excited to see such a high profile game with network capability. A short time after PSO's release, Sega wowed gamers with the announcement that Phantasy Star Online Version 2 (PSOv2) was on the way -- sooner rather than later to boot! It's taken a while for my review, and PSOv2 is finally available worldwide, so put on your safety belts and get ready to rock!
