Summary: MDK2 Armageddon is simply one of the best games I've ever played. It is getting along in age now, so I sold it ! Mistake ! It beats the hell out of EA Pacific Rising or whatever, much better than Star Wars Battlefront, Splinter Cell, Quake 3 (that REALLY SUCKED !) I dont know why gamepro scored it so low, maybey some of the puzzles were a little tricky, i dunno. I enjoyed it, and want it back !
Summary: The game is just too odd and the boss difficulty varies per stage. What kills this game is the levels you play the dumb scientist. The sound is average along with almost everything else. Rent it first before you buy it.
Summary: The game is amazingly fun and filled with wit and creativity. Each of the teammates has a different set of strengths, so you must adapt not only to the different environments, but also to your character' abilities. For instance, Max is a run and gun type of guy. Kurt is more of a stealth/sniper type, and Dr. Hawkins solves the puzzles in the game. MDK2 is a treat for anyone who relishes unique, ingenious but challenging gameplay.
Summary: This game has a great sense of humor. The graphics can be amazing at times and other times not so good. Control takes some getting used to but shouldn't be too much of a problem. Some of the levels can be very difficult while others too easy. You also get to play three different characters which is cool. This is one of the few games where I don't have the in game music on mute. I've played through this game 3 times so far so it does have some replay value.
Summary: MDK2 isn't really that new. It has just been ported from the dreamcast. That's all. It's a really fun game though. You play as either Kurt, a janitor in this suit thingie, Max, a four-armed dog, and Dr. Hawkins. While it is supposed to be really funny, well, I didn't laugh my ass off but I occasionally chuckled. The graphics are kinda dissapointing for the PS2. It's like Interplay didn't even bother upgrading them.
Excerpt: I managed to get MDK2 for the Dreamcast for £29.99 from Gameplay.com shortly after it’s release. When it arrived shortly after ordering (my free copy of online game Chu Chu Rocket also arrived from Sega the same day) I opened the cardboard packaging to find a glossy sealed…shattered case.
Excerpt: MDK 2 is all about humor! This game made me laugh so hard; I just loved the funny cutscenes in between levels! The overall game is funny as well, and I guess this takes away some of the frustration of this games difficulty level! MDK2 is one of the most challenging games I have played in awhile, and it can get frustrating after awhile, but when you finally beat the game you can brag to all your friends that yeah, you beat MDK2!
Excerpt: MDK 2 is without a doubt a quality game ,offering excellent visuals, great character design and tiemless gameplay. The game is a curious mix as the three chcaracters you play as all use different techniques to progress, though I guess it is a shoot'em up at heart. There is something of a story line and a rich vien of dark comic humour which is starting to give this game a bit of a cult status.
Excerpt: You want freaky, comical and defiantly different? Look no further than MDK 2, a hotbed of cool ideas, odd characters and otherworldly visuals. The first MDK was a PC rather than Dremcast game, but that doesn't matter a bit. Within a few minutes in the company of MDK2 you'll soon be familiar with the tale of three oddballs - Kurt (the reluctant hero), Dr Fluke Hawkins (the typically mad scientist), and Max (the 6 legged, Uzi toting dog).
Excerpt: MDK 2 is here now, and this triumphant trio return to save the world from aliens once again. The Doc discovers them first from his orbiting spaceship, The Jim Dandy. Quickly he dispatches his janitor, Kurt, to fight the new menace. Fortunately, Kurt has more than a mop and scrub brush to aid him. When he dons the Doc's innovative 'coil suit,' he becomes a virtual super-janitor. As Kurt, you must run around shooting aliens and jumping from platform to platform.
Pros: fast, furious gameplay with fun overtones
Cons: a little easy . uses speed as a cover for the slightly low difficulty curve .
