  • Excerpt: Unlike the trilogy of Evil Dead movies - known for their comedic characterizations, slapstick humour, and well-timed one liners - Evil Dead: Hail to the King provides nothing more than a never ending barrage of randomly appearing, moan-and-groan monsters that manage to stumble their way onto the end of your chain saw.

  • Summary: I may have rambled a bit, but I think the final message is clear: Don't buy this game. You'll be sorry you did. A masterpiece of lazy design strapped onto a fantastic idea, this game uses its license to fool unsuspecting fans of Raimi's films, and of survival horror games in general, into thinking it might live up to its title.
  • Pros: Great license, good music, nice atmosphere
  • Cons: Everything else -- graphics, control, fun, gameplay, etc.
