Even though Dynamite Cop is really the only brawler on the Dreamcast at the moment, it probably isn't worth your money. If you're a big fan of beat 'em ups, consider renting it for a few days. Dynamite Cop is fun in spots, but its short length and lack of depth make this one really hard to recommend. Go play Streets of Rage 2 instead. Read more
Like many arcade game ports the game just doesn't cut it on a console in terms of replay and game length, even on high difficulty its still pretty short. In an arcade this kind of length is perfectly acceptable, but not so much when it comes to a home console. And speaking of the arcade edition, if you've played it and beaten it (especially with friends) then you really don't need to bother with this direct port. because it's pretty. You play it because it's a genuine free-for-all. The graphics aren't bad, just not anywhere near cutting edge. Most of the game is played in a 3rd person, stationary camera view, very much like a fighter game. You can move in and out of the screen, left and right, but the camera angle remains constant. The voice acting is total cheese, as would be expected, and the sound effects and background music are alright, but nothing memorable. Read more
(ST-V / Saturn) original. The game has been titled 'Dynamite Cop!' in the states instead of continuing with the Die Hard license. Sega has improved the graphics (detail and CG cut-scenes) with the conversion to the Uberconsole, but the overall gameplay remains in tact.
