D2

D2 is a survival horror action adventure video game developed by WARP and published by SEGA for Sega Dreamcast. This is the successor and an indirect sequel to D. It was released on August 2, 2000 and only enables single player mode. It is rated as M (Matured).

Features

D2 game story starts with Laura falling asleep on an airplane trip to an undisclosed location. Then, the plane is hijacked by a group of terrorists. Afterwards, Laura awakens in a small cabin being cared for by another woman who also survived the crash. She explains that Laura has been unconscious for two days and during that time, a handful of survivors of the plane crash have been exploring this region of the snowbound forest in an attempt to find a way to be rescued. Laura is driven deeper into the mystery when she must venture further into the isolated wilderness in order to locate a lost little girl. Moreover, it features few kinds of game plays, and most of them require players to explore the Canadian wilderness from a third-person perspective. By defeating monsters, experience points gain and enables player to levels up. In addition, Laura is equipped with a sub-machine gun with unlimited ammo and a hunting rifle, which is used to hunt small animals for meat she can use to regain health. Meanwhile, for hunting measure, animals killed or meat are totalled up during game play and numbers of kills as well as any medal received are displayed on the Options screen.
