GameGenie.com
11 March 2004
  • Summary: If I didn't already have this game, I wouldn't buy it. It's not my type. Actually, it's not like any other typical video game. No violence? Seemingly slow moving vehicles? This is not why Mr. Nintendo invented video games. He invented video games so you could do things and be things that you can't be in real life. People can actually do this. They can't however blow up everything that moves just because the bad guys owe you 32,000 dollars.

PlanetDreamcast
21 September 1999
  • Summary: In the end, Aerowings made me want to put my controller down and turn off my Dreamcast after only a few minutes. Using what I'm sure the pilots would say if they could speak, I can sum up the game as a whole:
  • Pros: Unique idea, fast load times, lots of levels and aircraft to fly.
  • Cons: Boring, repetitive mission objectives; lack of depth; poor interface; terrible voice acting and music.

AeroWings

NowGamer
31 August 1999
  • Conclusion: If it's a flight simulator with a minimum amount of high flying, gun-toting action you’re after, then AeroWings is the game for you. If you like a bit more action then stay away.

AeroWings

Game Vortex
15 March 1990
  • Excerpt: Once again, Dreamcast comes through with a winner. By far, AeroWings is the best looking, best sounding, non-combat flight simulation to ever hit a home system. The planes look incredible; beautiful scenery and great texture mapping. Smooth and reflective surfaces can be seen on the 3rd person view, and the cockpit instrumentation is on par. The skyline was well rendered, and a cool smoke effect was added for the sake of bragging about cool techniques on replay.

AeroWings

Sega-Universe
1 March 2005
