Excerpt: I purchased this product to allow students to simulate a radio broadcast. We use a decent mic plugged into the ZOOM with a line for music and we record into Adobe Audition. So far, it has been perfect. We plan to use this with Premiere to record into the timeline for voiceover and video narration, but haven't hooked that up yet. For the price, this was perfect.

The Very Best Multi Track Recorder in this price range!

Summary: I bought the Zoom R24 a couple months ago, and i am truly glad that i did! It is super easy to use. I was recording only minutes after taking it out of the box. The sound quality is great! It has a ton of features and effects. It is by far the best multi-track recorder in it's price range! my only complaint would be the lcd display. it is a bit small, and hard to read at certain angles.
Excerpt: Using this for on-set recording of short & feature films.. or so I thought. (Yes I know there were better-suited options in that price-range but I also needed a unit that could record live music as well.) . Although it takes quite some time (and skill, and just plain dumb luck from trial & error) to learn how to set it up as an INTERFACE, this unit WILL work flawlessly with the included Cubase LE software.
Excerpt: Well i've had my Zoom R24 for 3 years, but never really got the chance to use it more than maybe 3 times, during which it seemed to work as advertised. HOWEVER, recently, i've been needing to use it as a workhorse to record audio during 3 short films i'm making. After the first day, I was flabbergasted to discover NONE of the audio recorded, even though I followed the instructions to a tee.
Summary: I haven't use it , well barely at all but now that I am researching to build my studio I find that the Cubase le5 program that came with it is obsolete. Seeming difficult to get started. Right now I am waiting to here back from Steinberg about Cubase.
