Excerpt: The reliability of my(40year old) em-150 by Yamaha,is why I ordered this new EMX 212S. I expect the reliability to be great with this as well. Shipping was fast and as always B&H is great to work with. The only other thing I would have liked to see on this is a L/R pan control for each channel. Not a problem today because all my tracking is now done on the computer anyway. I like it.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Compact, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Versatile
Summary: This is a great powered mixer. I've tried other brands but keep coming back to Yamaha, they are proven to be reliable and last for years. I would highly recommend this mixer to anyone who needs a great powered mixer.
Excerpt: I read some good reviews on this and decided to purchase it. I used the Yamaha EMX-212S along with (4) Yamaha NS-AW350 speakers. They both worked out great for our new sound system in our gymnasium. The EMX-212S is rated for 4 ohms and the speakers are rated at 6 ohms. However, there were no problems hooking up and using all four speakers. Plenty of power and great sound.
Summary: We finally got around to replacing our ancient PA system - or at least, the amp/mixer part of it (as the speakers didn't actually have any holes in them). And what a fantastic buy this was: really good quality sound, plenty of volume - and it's easy to set-up and use, with simple instructions that actually make sense! Every question one of us asked had already been thought of (Does it take both sorts of mike outputs? Yes. Is the slave/monitor output obvious?
