Excerpt: I have owned my DJM-500 for over 4 years now, and it has lasted the test of time and the battering I have given it. Still perceived as the original ultimate professional dj/club mixer, it has remained as popular as ever. Its build quality is superb, but I believe its sound is not as good as other newer alternatives. I am now looking to buy a new mixer - so will I buy another of these or a similar Pioneer product? I think not.
Excerpt: The Pioneer DJM 500 is a wonderful, feature filled mixer with four channels, gains for high, mid and low frequency ranges and the obligatory cross fader. Where this mixer really comes into its own is with its effects unit which allows the DJ to add some originality and flair to his set. This effects unit includes effects such as flange, delay/echo, reverb etc. These allow the DJ a great deal of flexibility and allow him/her to give his/her set a unique sound.
Excerpt: On its use, nothing to say. I'd like a table or we can remove the crossfader, but ... SOUNDS The sound is tight, for using Eclerc and currently Allen & health, I guarantee you that 500 is far from crystal clear! When the effects they induce such a blast that it makes them almost unusable!
Excerpt: Im a very satisfield customer,i really enjoy this set up with the djm and cmx 3000 .But ive had a couple of bugs in my board. Such as the beat counter button not fuctioning on time or skipping and the video you get with it is pretty cheesey. But warrenties are wonderfull..So I m satisfied even though its my first.
