Excerpt: We use this with a Mac and Adobe Audition to run our podcast, so it's been awesome in helping us wring all the performance we can out of our otherwise decidedly un-acoustic studio/office. Strong recommendation for this if you're looking for a great mixer running Firewire to help elevate your sound control capabilities.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Compact, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Powerful, Versatile
Excerpt: If they hadn't done away with Firewire on the new Macbook Pro, I would have been very happy to continue using this mixer. But I can't justify lugging it around and using a dongle. Instead I have an RME Babyface and a cheap Samson 6 channel mixer for synths. I will be picking up a Behringer ADA8000 for multitrack.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Versatile
Excerpt: I use this thing every day as the audio hub in my video production studio. Currently I'm using all 12 inputs and multiple outputs in my setup. Simply put - everything works the way I expect with no fuss. It interfaces seamlessly with Logic, SoundtrackPro, FCP and the Adobe A/V apps. The only drawback I've run into is the ability of the Onyx mic preamps to fully boost weak output microphones. I have an Audio-Technica mic that simply does not output acceptable levels.
Pros: Compact, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Versatile
Excerpt: Compared with competition products, the Onyx I series is practically unusable for any other capture than REALLY loud sounds (like drums and snares). For a normal talking voice, on Onyx I series mixers you will get peaks of 8-10% off the total dynamic ratio, having the gain knob set at MAXIMUM. Using same mic and same voice, on competition product you can easily fill up 100% with gain knob set to 1 a clock.
Summary: Geweldige firewire mixer werkt naadloos samen met m,n Imac gewoon inpluggen en hij werkt meteen zonder allerlij drivers te moeten installeren.Het geluid is geweldig goed en de latency is 0,000.
