Summary: Great little mixer. I owned a Mackie VLZ 16 channel mixer for 20 years with never a bit of trouble. Ever. I went back to Mackie for more of the good stuff. Not one second of regret, I love my new mixer to pieces.
packs tons of functionality into an easy to use, incredibly cool little package

Summary: This is my first mixer and I think it's amazing. Before buying this one I was tempted to keep it simple and cheap and go for an analog mixer with the bare minimum. I'm so glad I bought the DL1608 instead. The ease of use and the built in effects really make it worth every penny.
Summary: This is a great board that keeps getting better with each update. Mackie listens to what users have been saying and keeps updating the board to make it even better. For the money it's a great board that we are using at our church and it's been great. Very flexible with six outputs and 16 inputs.
Pros: Sound, flexibility, size and Mackies continuing to improve the features.
Cons: If you used to analog boards it can be hard to get use to a digital board but so worth it.

Summary: This is a very easy way to get into the realm of digital mixers. The preamps are sound very good, and can take a lot of signal before they start clipping. The built in effects are actually pretty good, and cover a lot (actually, all for most) of what you will need in a live setting.
The best 16 channel digital mixer available (as of q3 2012)

Summary: This mixer does have its limitations. Only 16 channels, no inserts, blah blah blah. each channel has HPF, sweepable eq, comp, gate. 6 aux sends + LR (mains). Ability to record to the ipad, and the ability to undock the ipad and walk the room is incredible.
