Great audio for video mixer

  • Excerpt: I bought this mixer to mix several wireless mics and audio feeds prior to inputting into my camera. I like the 5 XLR inputs included on the mixer and the multiple outputs. It can be used with AC or battery power which is helpful when shooting on locations not having AC power. I own several other Behringers and they are reliable, quality units.
  • Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Versatile

Nice little mixer

  • Excerpt: We use this mixing board in our Children's church room. We previously had a Fender Passport system. I didn't like the size of the Passport. So we are now using the XENYX 1002B with a Mackie amp and the passport speakers. It works great. The XENYX 1002B is very quiet. The only thing I not 100% impressed with is the mix coming out of the amp. Since I'm using the passport speakers, that could be the issue. It appears they each have 4 midrange type speakers.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy To Use
  • Cons: Limited Treble

  • Excerpt: Using in a computer recording setup. Beautiful design with controls laid out properly. Very compact for computer desk use...yet has all the facilities I need. I'm a retired radio broadcaster who does occasional voice work. Behringer makes a great product that sounds excellent and does what it's supposed to do.

Limited Review

  • Excerpt: I have a feeling the mixer will turn out to be a terrific value for the price. However, in my first (and only) use so far, I was disappointed with the results under battery power. I was using a single Beta 87 condenser mic and after a couple of hours the signal became distorted and unusable. When I got home I checked the batteries, expecting to find low voltage on the 9V battery that provides phantom power.

Lot for the money

  • Excerpt: Lots of features and runs on DC power as well. Pretty cool. A fair bit larger and heavier than I had hoped, but there really doesn't seem to be anything between this and the little ones
  • Pros: Versatile
  • Cons: Bulky
