"Nasty hum on main out when in mix mode; no response from Behringer US customer support whan I asked them for clarification and a"

  • Excerpt: The unit has a nasty, unacceptable 60 Hz hum on the main outs when running in mix mode. Split mode performs better, but I bought the unit primarily to run as a line mixer for my keyboards. The hum is probably caused by the power transformer inside the unit and improper shielding; it probably reflects a poor design. Behringer's US customer support was not available for comment. This is suspicious.

  • Excerpt: We recently replaced this unit for one exactly like it because it all of the sudden had a hum. The old unit was at least five years old. All is working great now.

Awesome little piece of kit

  • Excerpt: As a mobile sound operation, we always look for items that work well, can take a beating, and actually do what they are supposed to; we found that all to be the case in the Ultralink. We use it to split up signal to many amps in our live sound reinforcement operation, even linking several units together when we go big. The options per sound path are great and the unit performs like it isn't even there, as it should be. Behringer did it again!
  • Pros: Accurate Controls, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound

Easy to use, Functional and Versatile

  • Excerpt: I purchased the MX822 as an add on to a Crest 20 channel monitor mixer. This allowed me to combine 6 inputs into 2 outputs while maintaining the individual signals for FOH. For this application it does exactly what is advertised. What I would like to see added to this unit: phantom power or phantom power pass thru, higher gain preamp for instrument level.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Versatile
  • Cons: Limited Functions

"ONE OF A KIND TOOL AS A SPLITTER..."

By a customer from yahoo.com, zzounds.com

  • Excerpt: I just got this yesterday after waiting on the backorder (they must be popular) and did my initial test to see if it worked okay. There was no hum, buzz, or other anomolies from shipping damage or fabrication. The meters are all in sync and the level & pan signals are responsive. It will be used for live sound amp zoning and other routing inside the sound truck.

A lotta audio for the $

  • Excerpt: I used the MX882 on an HBO production as a DA. It had enough outs and sonic quality required. The metering on each channel gave me the confidence that the signals were getting where they were needed. I had to used it right out of the box and had no problems. I have a few more tests to run and that is the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

Serves its purpose well

  • Excerpt: I use it to combine and control panning and levels on several microphones for recording purposes. Phantom power would be a nice feature but for my purpose it wasn't a necessity. I would purchase it again.

"Best Economical soulution for multiple Zone Splitting."

By a customer from earthlink.net, zzounds.com

  • Excerpt: It's very difficult to pinpoint whether this diminishes or enhances sound. I have two berhinger products controlling processing or transmitting sound and I found no problem with distortion or line noise. The set up, including this component is clean.
