Excerpt: I use this to send acoustic guitar signals of our praise band to the mixer in my church. This unit provides an excellent sounding, robust signal that is much better than just relying on the mixer line input alone. I continue to be impressed with Behringer products that always do what they're supposed to do. Are there better Direct Boxes out there? Yes, but this eight channel unit is very convenient for multiple guitars or keyboards.
Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile
Excerpt: Used this to replace 8 standalone direct boxes to reduce clutter and what a difference! not only in cable management, but also the signal to noise ratio of these boxes are much higher than my old Art passive direct boxes. And the price is fantastic!
Excerpt: I use it for live sound - I need DI for instruments to get them to balanced xlr for snake to control from off-stage. The sound quality of guitars is significantly better when running through the DI. I especially like the linked out and unbalanced out; that is great for a personal loop back for your own little amp on stage. Don't really know any cons at this point.
Excerpt: I use this product to save on having to use multiple d.i. boxes on stage with the use of an electronic drum set. I have eight 7 outputs from the drum brain, so it really saves on clutter. I'm also ordering a 12 channel snake to run from this box to the stage mic inputs. That will also be helpful. I also love the option to turn on or off the phantom power, and the ability to boost the signal from the box. Haven't had any problems with it yet!
Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Easy To Use, Versatile
Excerpt: This has solved the integration of old, consumer stereo equipment. It has resulted in a much better 'noise floor', which is very important at lower levels. I may have been able to get a better price on auction sites. But, after watching, and bidding, for 2 months, BHP had the best price![...] Packing was VERY good.I would not hesitate to buy from BHP again!
Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Easy To Use, Lightweight
Summary: I've owned this for over a year and use it once or twice weekly at church to connect instruments to a digital sound board. I've run electric, acoustic and bass guitars through it, as well as keyboards, and it's worked well with everything I've thrown at it.
