It dinged the hum

Chronic Iguana, B&H Photo
22 May 2015
  • Excerpt: How I use the product? To eliminate hum between a 50-year-old Hammond organ, a very loud amplifier and two now very loud Leslies. What's great about it? It eliminates the hum. What's not so great about it? It doesn't come with free beer?
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Improves Sound Quality, Improves System Function

Got the job done

Chronic Iguana, B&H Photo
15 May 2015
  • Excerpt: Hum's gone. Replaced by a clean signal. Even after passing it through a DI box, the signal being pulled from the chopped Hammond L100 pre-amp was giving off an annoying hum. No batteries required. Removing it from the blister pack was the most challenging part.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Improves Sound Quality, Improves System Function

Didn't really work for me

Dan, B&H Photo
15 February 2012
  • Excerpt: This item did not clear up any hum in my lines at all. I have a bad ac hum, that I believe is caused by electrical dimmer light switches that run not to far from the shielded speaker cables I am using. With the eliminator in the line, I notice no difference.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy To Use
  • Cons: Unreliable

  • Excerpt: I own a big production studio with many synthesizers even vintage ones which mostly given me the hum problems. The best thing about this is, you just plug it in and it knocks the hum out right away without losing sound quality from my synths. Nothing technical.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Low Distortion, Powerful

Destroyed the HUM!

phat beats, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I used this simple box in line between my roland UA-25EX USB interface and my monitors. I had bad line hum and the ground lift switch on the roland made no difference. The HD400 kills the hum...nuf said!

"Helps to eliminate live sound and recording hum headaches."

By a customer from hotmail.com, zzounds.com
15 February 2010
  • Excerpt: When comparing the HD400 to the Ebtech Hum eliminators, this one is the clear winner. The Ebtech cuts the audio signal volume and takes out the highs so badly that I would rather deal with the hum!
