Summary: Not saying it's not decent, but you have to know your crap before you can really make this thing a benefit. To an idiot like me, it just appears to need more knobs. The ones I'm supposed to be using don't seem to ever really do what I think I need.
Summary: I purchased the MDX1600 to work on improving the acoustics of my very imperfect studio by using the noise gate to cut down some of the ambient noise that is present in the building. I run with an ART tube preamp and a Shure SM7B, selected for it's forgiving nature in noisy studios.
Summary: I wound up actually buying the 2600 because this model was discontinued. I've always liked what behringer builds for us little guys. BUT, if I could change something, I'd lose the detents on the pots because I'm never exactly where I want to be.
