Excerpt: Holy cow. This thing is amazing. Where do I start? Is there a character limit for this comment? I wanna let the folks at B&H know YOU ARE LOVED. First off, the the Mbox boasts a sexy design that's sleek, portable, and downright jazzy. The purple AVID logo flirts with the glistening grey coat like geometric wave of bliss. I'm so impressed with this product that my only complaint is that you folks didn't send two!
Excerpt: I have only had this product for several weeks, but it has been fantastic so far. ProTools is the way to go and this bundle was a great introduction to the best recording software out there without breaking the bank. B&H had the best deal for this package and is always my go-to source for electronics/software/etc.
Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile
Excerpt: I do audio book narration and needed to upgrade my system, especially the software. Pro Tools is the industry standard, but it's very pricey, especially for those of us who just need to record spoken word. The Mbox Mini is a good I/O source, but what makes it really great is that it comes with Pro Tools Express, a stripped-down version of Pro Tools that offers the functionality I need at a much lower price point.
Pros: Clear Sound, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight
Summary: well, I wanted to try an Mbox after learning that my Tascam US-800 was not compatible with ProTools LE 8, so I gave it a whirl and as soon as you know it the Mbox started and the sound of my recordings were amazing. I usually do recording with clean vocals, guitar, and bass so it works well with all those. I might just get the Mbox with more inputs.
Summary: Downloaded the latest drivers from the website before I plugged it into my windows xp 32 bit desktop. Works flawless with Cakewalk Sonar producer. Great sound for vocals. I don't care about the bundled software. Phantom power is a plus.
Summary: Having ordered my soundcard two weeks ago, when it arrived last week I was overjoyed, It was one of the best buys of my life! I use the Mbox with Pro Tools LE8 and love it has two input which let me have a mic and a guitar constantly plugged in, It inputs with astounding quality and as long as your using it right you won't need to buy another untill you have a 32 input DAW in a professional studio! Pro's: It has brilliant sound quality.
