Excerpt: Why are these "wings" a full inch and a half longer than the mixer itself? I was planning to mount the mixer in a six space rack. The mixer fits, but the rack mounts don't, rendering them useless for this application. The installation is also the most complex rack mount installation I've even seen. Due to the lack of screws on the side panels of the A&H mixer, you literally have to take the mixer apart to remove the panels, using several different tools.
Excerpt: The primary reason I purchased this was for practicing my guitar and learning songs through it with high quality in ear monitors. To my disappointment my in ears didn't sound nearly as good plugged into this product as they had when plugged into a cheaper console made by Peavey. The Allen and Heath console did not supply adequate power to the headphone jack and was easily distorted.
Excerpt: I write songs and do small live acts. Usually guitar and vocal. It seems silly to mount a small board, but I didn't have to pay for anything too big. I pack everything for road use to keep it safe do the same, and save buying a mixer you know what every bottom does and gives off the charts quality. Bergerner whatever sucks. I have a rack with power conditioner and other pro gear, but this rack ear was great.
Excerpt: I bought the ZED-10 because I wanted to replace one that I went in "halfsies" on, and I want this one 100% all to myself! My application is outdoor event sound, specifically at our annual pumpkin patch and Christmas tree lot, which is like a little fair with rides and entertainment. I paired the ZED-10 up with 4 QSC K-8 self powered speakers wired in a daisy chain.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Compact, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound
