Awesome solution! Works as it should Especially on a Mac!

Summary: I was looking for a record/playback interface and this is the one!! And it is dead silent. No noise as some interfaces can produce... I am running it on a MAC with OSX 10.9.1 without issues some others who have posted here have. It was instantly recognized by my system and works as it should. I am going to purchase a second one for my Son who is a musician and needs a good interface for recording. I recommend this product highly!
Summary: I was in the market for a USB recording interface for some time and did plenty of research before I decided on the Akai EIE. In my home studio I need to record everything from guitars to vocals, drums to keyboards, and anything else in between and the Akai works great for all of that. With four inputs and 48volt phantom power, nice VU meters and an easy to navigate layout makes this unit a winner.
Summary: so far so good. i think this is one of the best audio interfaces in the 100-300 dollar range. i really like the use of the old fashion v/u meters. 4 in and 4 analog outs is ideal for djing. i also really like the multi 3 usb hub.
Summary: This is MUCH better than the M-Box I previously owned. The preamps are great for the price and the USB hub is the icing on the cake. Not such as great product without the update so be sure to get on the akai website and get that ASAP. I love the whole product, the vu meters are a bit gimmicky but at the same time finish the product and it is a solid sturdy build.
