ZOOM = smart design, cheap production

meatex z, shopping.com
8 September 2013
  • Summary: It's affordable and it does what it is supposed to do. It may loose synchronization in a middle of a recording session or chop wave files, but it happens seldom.
  • Pros: Cheap and functional multitrack recorder.
  • Cons: As always with ZOOM, everything is low quality plastic and not always working.

Just don't

Y-knot audio, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: Mainly, I purchased this product cause I needed a recorder with at least six xlr inputs and didn't have the cash for a Sound Devices. • Pros: Good Frisbee, Looks Cool
  • Cons: Difficult To Use, Maddening, Not Even Flammable, Unnecessary Functions, Weak

Great Reacording Device

dyoder289, Ebay
1 March 2013
  • Summary: This is a great product. It has a ton of capabilities for such a small package. Use it for live or studio recording. I use it for both and I am very impressed with the built-in microphones. If I had to list one complaint it would be the typical Japanese manual.
