Excerpt: I use the DDJ-S1 as part of a mobile DJ setup. The unit is a good size and lightweight for portability, but the reason for lack of weight is the unit is almost entirely plastic. This makes the unit seem a bit "cheap". However, it works very well and has been very reliable so far. I like the XLR connections for master out and mic. The Serato DJ software compliments the controller very well.
Excerpt: Efficient Efficient Efficient...the best service, top notch product at a great price. They also offered to buy or trade some of the electronics I don't need. I would deal with them all the time. For now on I'm buying my gear from them. And don't forget about the colorful catalogue with great electronics for everyone in it.
Excerpt: I picked one up for a convenient option when in need of bringing my own gear to an event. More affordable than continually renting a console and easier than lugging my CDJs, etc, this controller gets the job done but is no substitute for a pair of CDJs. Part of what I don't love are the differences between Serato's Itch and Scratch...
Pros: Accurate Controls, Compact, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound
Excerpt: First controller used in 10yrs Dj experience. very easy switch. very responsive and versitle. Slim and very easy to grasp layout. powered just by USB or (to see all lights) A/c power. the ONLY downside that I have found for me is Serato Itch programing that this was designed for, does not have native MIDI support for other controllers or use with Ableton. Overall VERY excited about using this controller for a while to come and waiting native MIDI support.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Compact, Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Versatile
