Summary: I ordered one of these as a test before ordering an additional four for a recording studio. The first one that arrived is great. It functions really well and is exactly what I needed. However, the additional four that I ordered (which were not all black but rather had silver parts) are borderline pathetic. One of them has already become non-adjustable, and I wonder how long it will be until the others do the same.
Summary: I use this for my home recording studio. This stand is versatile enough to be used at almost any angle. From playing and singing piano, recording guitar and vocals, and other various positions. Sometimes hard to keep the mic firmly in place but that may be a function of my shock mount. Cheap and highly recommended.
Summary: Good quality and look profession. It is very flexible and probable. It is a 5 star for that price. The only different from a real professional stand is; it does not have a weight in the bottom.
Summary: If you're a rank amateur like me, at first, you may not realize that microphone couplings can come with a standard thread adapter already inside. I discovered that almost too late with the default desk stand that came with my new AT2020 USB microphone. Had I known that the tiny little thread adapter inside can be removed, I could've attached the AT2020 USB mike much sooner to this On Stage Stand and used it for my first recording session.
Summary: This stand is solid and has all the adjustments that you would need. I'm using it in a studio so it doesn't do a whole lot of moving around but its built well enough for the road, and for he price, you can't go wrong. There is a tiny bit of wobble where the bottom extension that comes up from the base meets the second extension but nothing that would bother me. I would purchase more of these stands in the future.
Summary: This stand simply does the job. Mine did not have any of the defects others have mentioned (weak or broken cable clips). In my experience, more expensive stands may have more features but will NOT be any more reliable or stable. For me, reliability and stability were the two main goals and this stand delivered both quite nicely.
Summary: This is a pretty good stand for the price, I ended up leaving this one in the rehearsal room as I prefer the telescoping booms. I have the Dr. Pro telescoping and a samson telscoping, the samson is my favorite (think the model is BT4). For the price this is a good value.
