Summary: these earplugs are pretty comfortable & easy to insert. i wear them most every night & after a few months, the green pegs fall out, which is quite annoying. however, so far they're the best earplugs i've found for sleeping with a snoring partner (sound is not completely blocked, but muted).
Summary: These ear plugs aren't that great at anything really. I can still hear traffic, the boiler, my flatmates talking and closing doors.... They are okay I guess at limiting what can "get through" though I feel I have wasted my money and after using these for several months (I sleep slightly better) I am investing in a pair of decent industry standard ear protectors!
Summary: I wake up at a pin drop, so needed something to be able to sleep next to a snoring person! These fit snugly in the ear and are very comfortable. They don't fall out overnight like the foam type. If the centre piece is a bit uncomfortable, it can be trimmed so that it doesn't dig in (RTFM). What I like about them is that they do let a little bit of noise in; I don't really like being completely cut off from the world and not being able to hear anything.
Summary: I am just about to buy my second set of these ear plugs after using the first set for 9 months. They cut out most noise and are comfortable to wear. The filter stalks can be painfull if you sleep on your side but if you read the instructions the filter can be trimmed to suite your own requirements. They are then perfect for the use. More expensive than the foam or wax plugs but they do last for a long time and are washable for cleanliness. A good buy.
Summary: Brilliant!!! I live nearby a noisy student union on a busy street where the racket of rowdy revellers competes with the rumble of black cabs sounding their horns into the wee small hours. I've tried many methods in a quest for an undisturbed night of sleep and I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly endorsing these earplugs which live up to every claim made on the packaging. All unwanted noise is subdued but I still hear my alarm.
Summary: I work nights and needed something to mask out the sound of the dog we have in the house, plus all the other daily noises that kept desturbing me. After reading a lot of reviews for various products, I went for these ones. Now, I am not sure how the people giving low scores are using these plugs, but for me they couldn't be better, they mask out sounds sufficiantly to let me sleep.
Summary: Doesn't block any noises, never mind ambient ones. Husband snoring is still perfectly audible. I gave these 4 nights - took them out and put them back in again several times, as I thought maybe I'd inserted them wrong at first, but nope. They just don't work. Total waste of money.
Summary: this claim's to remove traffic noise, snoring sounds, annoying neighbour sounds. however, its all a lie. doesn't remove, infect doesn't even reduce a bit of any of the above listed. waste of money and time.
Summary: I bought this product back in September but only got around to using them 2 months later when a noisy neighbour moved in. Years ago I had used cheapo disposable ear plugs to block out a noisy house party but these were useless so I had little expectations of these Alpine ones. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! They perform exactly as described. Background noises are dumbed down to a distant muffled sound, whilst my nearby telephone ring is still audiable.
Summary: Easy to use, more comfortable than those hard spongy ones you have to mould to your ears. They stay in all night, and you don't notice they are in there. Blocks out most sounds, except maybe ones very close by.
