Summary: Cons: I expected far better from Whirlpool and after the brackets holding the plastic wheels broke on the top shelf 4 times I have resorted to a far cheaper and more practical fix. Instead of contacting Whirlpool to send yet another replacement bracket and telling them the machine is defective, I went to the hardware store and bought 2 brass 1/4" flat head bolts with washers and drilled out the plastic to just smaller than the bolt size.
I hate the Utensil basket - it does not fit my silverware

Summary: 1) The Utensil Basket has a cover that you are supposed to put the handles of the silverware in . .my silverware does not fit in the holes of the basket cover. Without using the cover - the silverware does not get uniformly clean and the smaller pieces often fall over sideways in the basket. 2) Although the Dishwasher is very quiet - it takes a very long time to do a load of wash and so multi-tasking while the dishwasher is running is out of the question.
Summary: The silverware basket is on the door so sometimes only the side facing out gets cleaned. Also if you put any larger utensils, they get caught if you pull out the lower basket. I don't find this dishwasher to be very spacious. My plates fall over when put in the bottom rack.
Summary: The dishwasher looks nice, the noise is nearly inaudible and the interior has some nice ideas. Cons: the flatware caddy is located in the door and doesn't always get clean. Flatware is also hard to load and openings do not allow placement of some pieces. Adjustable rack on bottom is a great idea however it moves too freely and doesn't stay in place.
Summary: I researched new dishwashers before buying a new one, and chose the Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher with Scour Power. It has many features such as 1-hour wash, delayed wash (4 hours), overnight wash, heat or economy dry. I do like the adjustable top rack. Very nice feature. I do miss the rinse only cycle my old dishwasher had, along with being able to set the delayed wash for 2, 4, or 6 hours. I do not like the silverware basket.
Summary: I bought black ice stove and dishwasher because they are absolutely beautiful. I had been looking for a long time and once I saw these, and that it was Whirlpool, that was it. I did not really research more because how can you go wrong? I am not very happy with either I am afraid. The dishwasher just is not the best, I always have to rewash something. Love the silverware in the door but never comes out clean.
Summary: It was very important to us to get a quiet dishwasher given our floor plan. This dishwasher is very, very quiet although to actually get our dishes consistently clean we need to use both the power scour and high temp wash features nearly every cycle. We really liked the low water usage that came with this, but since the regular/sensor wash cycles without the extra features don't do a great job of cleaning we are using more water than we had originally planned.
Summary: We have had this dishwasher for nearly two years, we purchased it directly from Whirlpool. The dishwasher is very quiet, much quieter than the Kenmore PRO model we replaced. It also doesn't leak, another plus over the old unit. I have problems with this unit requiring rinse aid in addition to having rinse aid in the tablets that go in the door. Recently it's started running through the rinse aid much more quickly.
Summary: This dishwasher does an excellent cleaning job and is very quiet. In this respect I am very satisfied. However the interior design is lacking. The flatware holder is a very poor design. First, the slots are too small for anything but my stirring spoons. Second, the soap dispenser is in the way of inserting knives. The dedicated space for large items at the back of the bottom rack has no pegs at all to anchor such items because the whole row of pegs has to be lowered.
