Summary: This was our first dishwasher after ten years of hand-washing. We chose it because it was priced fairly, full stainless steel, good features, and beautiful. And for six months, it worked great. However, after that six month, it stopped working. For over a month now, it sits unused and broken. Two service calls, and the repairman can't get it fixed, and the parts are always backordered. Whirlpool's customer service is terrible.
Summary: We have tried everything to try and get this dishwasher to actually clean dishes, different detergents, rinse agents, extensive pre washing, and yet the dishes still come out dirty, especially the cups.
Summary: This is an expensive, but terrible dishwasher. I have owned Whirlpool products and been very happy with them, including my prior dishwasher. This dishwasher looks beautiful and is quiet -- but that's about it. The silverware rack is poorly designed and poorly positioned -- silverware constantly tips because the dividers are skimpy, it is difficult to remove, and silverware is always filthy. Besides silverware issues, my dishes, glasses, and cups are always dirty.
does everything but actually clean: cargo-cult appliance!

Summary: I am giving this dishwasher 1 star because it does look and act like a real dishwasher. It has a door, racks, it makes "whooshing" sounds, and it has buttons that beep. The numerous mentions of Energy Stars make it sound powerful and glamourous. However, what this machine does NOT manage to do is actually clean our dishes.
Summary: We purchased this in a package deal with our new town home 18 months ago. Initially we had difficulty with it never drying the dishes so we complained and were told that we needed to keep jet dry full to aid in drying and also to make sure we ran the hot water in kitchen sink before we started it. Done!
Summary: I don't like this product and I wouldn't recommend it. The hidden buttons seem great at first, but then I never know if the dishes inside are clean or dirty. The clean button rarely goes off. I have washed the same dishes on more than one occasion. The machine is so quiet that you often do not notice it is on. I have opened a half washed load on a few occasions. The filter gets clogged pretty easily and then the inside of the unit smells.
Problems with film & utensil basket closest to detergent dispenser

Summary: The placement of the utensil basket near the detergeent dispenser doesn't allow for easy loading. It also can lead blockage of the dispenser if a tall utensil is in that basket. I have also experienced problems with film and the drying agent dispnser not closing completely, thus causing the jet dry (or whatever it was) to leak onto my dishes. Lord only knows how long that was happening amd what the damage is.
Summary: We bought this dishwasher 8 months ago. In the last 2 months we have had 3 companies come out 5 different times to try to repair this. Nothing on the top rack comes clean. In fact the dishes on the top actually come out dirtier than when they were put in. Because it was within the warranty period, Whirlpool paid for the service repairs.
broken after 18 months, never cleaned dishes very well

Summary: Do not purchase this product!!! After install my wife was not pleased with this unit. The dishes seemed to always have filth on them. We always pre rinsed before we put them in the dishwasher. We lived with it the past 18 months only to find it was leaking from the bottom all over the floor. I pulled it out, only to find the parts that needed replaced will cost about $180.00 with me installing them. Searched the internet only to find other were having the same issue.
