Summary: Baught this model to replace 12 yr old Maytag. So far, so good. Cannot hear dishwasher in living room and have an open air kitchen. Quality made, can hold tall cups in rack e\ven though the rack does not adjust. Like the tall tub desidn, can hold a full size baking sheet pan in bottom tray. Only problem, Lowe's needs to state on their website that an adaptor is needed to attach a 3/8" compression fitting (incomming line)to a 3/4" hose fitting(on machine).
Summary: Our Maytag dishwasher we purchased in 7-15-2010 has a broken latch. The part is $25 and the service is between $80 to $150 additional. The quality of this plastic latch is poor. Either do not buy this item or get a service contract at time of purchase. Which I have a problem with as why do we have to buy a service contract due to poor quality? Our prior Kitchenaide lasted over 10 years.
Summary: no complaints so far. Got this SS maytag during a kitchen upgrade to replace a 15 year old model that the only problem was it was white. Had no problems with the prior so decided to go with Maytag again despite bad reviews from Consumer Reports. Great valve for all the features and beleive me I did a ton of research. No problems so far, knock wood.
Summary: Had the circuit board burn out in the first month. Was repaired by a independent contractor who had to make 2 trips. Scond time I called parts in the bottom of the washer came loose and were rattleing around when washing. To this day it does not clean dishes at all. No matter the detergent or the rinse aid. Glasses come out dirtier than before they went in. Do buy Maytag.
Summary: I did my research. Checked all the reports I could find, asked friends and watched for sales. This dishwasher exceeds my expectations. It's does an exceptional job at cleaning my dishes and glasses. It's very quiet. I like the stainless steel interior. My last dishwasher had some kind of plastic interior that started leaking but, honestly, it was probably due to age. Installation was easy and I have a 100 yr old house...
Summary: The machine is much, much noisier than I thought it would be. And although it does the job and I like the design of the bottom layer, seldom are all my cups and jars dry on the top layer. Often there is a serious pool of water on the bottom of an inverted cup--something that, given the shallowness of almost all cup bottoms, ought to have dried.
Summary: I researched for quite some time on the next dishwasher we would purchase to replace our 15 year old Maytag that had started leaking and had rusted racks. This dishwasher has all the features of the more expensive dishwashers for a great price!! I do not have one complaint about this dishwasher. We barely hear it running, we don't have to pre-rinse our dishes anymore, and they come out sparkling clean.
