Summary: One of the only dishwashers out there that is 33.5 inches high, and from what I understand Maytag has now switched to 34.5 like everyone else, so it's also one of the last. The door seems flimsy and plastic compared to our 20 yr old Kitchenaid, but it fits a ton of dishes, they come out clean, and best of all it fits under our counter. It's simple to use, looks fine, and I would buy it again.
Summary: This dishwasher is a great value. It is extremely quiet and does a great job cleaning the dishes. I like that it has a sanitize cycle so I know my dishes are really clean. I can also lock the door to keep my toddler out. I don’t know why the other buyer’s dishwasher didn’t fit but mine fit just fine and looks great.
Summary: This dishwasher is a little over 23 inches wide. This leaves a half inch space on each side of the dishwasher which looks terrible! They include a black strip to fill in the space...with a white dishwasher!!??!! I do "fix and flips" and have never run into this before. Ridiculous and un-necessary problem.
Summary: My parents purchased a maytag 4 years ago and have had serious problems with the inside racks rusting since purchase (the plastic/rubberized coating has failed in numerous places). Calls to Maytag have been met with indifference. Their customer service is atrocious... I cannot understand what has happend to this once quality name.
Summary: This dishwasher broke within 6 months. The technician is unsure what is wrong with it. The parts that might fix it are on nationwide backorder and unavailable indefinitely. The Maytag call center has not been at all helpful or even sympathetic. They give a different story each day and each phone call as to when the parts might be available. We have decided to purchase a new dishwasher so that we don't have to deal with this appliance or company any more.
Summary: I had this dishwasher at my last house and never had a problem with it. It's very quiet and the dishes came out clean. We recently built a new house and I bought the GE Cleansteel Quiet II and I'm returning it tonight and buying another Maytag. The GE is loud, the handle broke after a week, and the baby bottles came out with formula still in the nipples. I didn't know how good the Maytag was until it was gone!
