Summary: We've started having problems with this unit a couple of months after we got it. They've replaced the motor and some wiring (a couple of times). Once the warranty was over, well, good luck! It still broke down on a regular basis, wiring again, cables holding the door, etc. Problem is, LG doesn't sell parts to regular dishwasher repair businesses. It costs a fortune to have it repaired by a company that can get the parts.
Summary: Got this machine with house purchase, so didn't choose/buy it myself. Here are some observations: --haven't had any trouble with motor or leaking --looks nice and has some good features (adjustable racks, nylon tines, rinse options, etc...) --quiet operation --most cycles are very long, like 2-3.5 hours --bottom rack dishes are usually clean but not always, and cutlery is 75% clean --top rack (mostly cups/glasses) often has crusty residue and baked on food particles...
Summary: Purchased Dishwasher in August 2006. We have had a total of 5 dishwashers delivered in order to receive one without damage to the unit. Unfortunately that unit had been manufactured with damage to the interior backside stainless steel tub. Had repair people out and LG replaced the unit. That unit worked fine for about 6 months and then the heating element stopped working.
Summary: Bought the dish washer new in 2006 about 6 months down the road the problem started Error code E1. 1 Called LG for sevice, first repair, change the return hose location, WOW that lasted 2 months. 2 Called back for the same error code E1. an other service company came for the repair. The change the propeller for the pump. This repair lasted a good month or so. 3 called back this time they changed the pump.
Summary: We purchased this LG mainly for the "quietness" and was told from the salesperson that it is a superior dishwasher. After about 8 months of usage, we had to replace the plastic rollers that hold the baskets on both upper/lower levels. In addition, the drain would constantly get clogged.(I alwasy rinsed my dishes prior to loading) For the price, I was extremly disappointed and would not purchase another LG product. My new dishwasher arrives today.
Summary: I am very excited about this dishwasher. Even my husband gets into the act of using it. Holds my country stoneware coffee cups and large stoneware dishes with no problems. Our old dishwasher was a mess when it came to loading our dishes and was so noisy. With our new one, we can have a conversation while standing virtually on top of it and there is no noise to speak above. This means a lot to me. Best dishwasher I ever owned.
