Summary: worked great until another EPA regulation required all detergents be re-formulated to remove phosphates. This was quietly passed and many consumers noticed that the dishes were not getting clean. I have the LG LDF9932ST and it is approx. 2 years old. I had a supply of the old detergent but once I used the new 'regulated' detergent dishes were not clean, but my dishwasher worked fine.
However, in the past 3 months my dishwasher quit pumping water in.
Summary: I feel obligated to write a comment on this great dishwasher because it got a such bad reviewes.
I found this LG6920SS floor sample at great price and couldn't resist so I bought it. But after reading the reviews on it I thought about canceling the delivery. But I saw few good reviews also and decided to take a risk since I can return it if I wanted to. Well, it's been almost two months and I couldn't be happier.
Summary: At first, the dishwasher was wonderfully quiet and we had no issues. After about 8 months, we started noticing a slight squeal, which has gotten worse over time. We didn't call LG about this after 12 months and didn't realize that the warranty would only cover parts at that point (likely this is a pump issue, so the labor would be the expensive portion of the repair).
Summary: I've never left a negative comment about anything however I felt compelled to this time. We've owned this dishwasher for 2 weeks and it did not get my dishes clean once. Returning it today for a Bosch.
Summary: I have read some of the previous reviews and agree somewhat. It does not dry as well as the non "Energy Star" dishwashers. It is very quiet, I love the LED interior light, and the 3rd rack. I have not used the steam cycle yet. I did have one occasion where there was some food left behind, but I think it was the placement of the dish that caused the problem. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a nice looking and quiet dishwasher.
